The secure field housing for PROFINET / PROFIsafe systems allows up to eight safety switching devices to be easily installed on the "Plug & Play" principle. The universal interface with 8-pin M12 connector allows the connection of a multitude of safety switching devices: electromechanical and electronic interlocks, switches, sensors, light curtains and control boxes. Even security switching devices from other manufacturers connect easily, for example by means of adapters.
To enable evaluation, the safety signals of the connected safety switching devices are retransmitted to a safety command via the PROFINET / PROFIsafe secure fieldbus interface. PROFIsafe is the secure functional extension of standard communication via PROFINET. Communication on the basis of PROFIsafe is protected against manipulation, transmission errors, modifications.
